Brad. You guys should make an accessory that can read and load eproms from vintage drum machines and samplers! That would be so dope!
You can already do this for free! If you can find the EEPROM binaries online (there are lots), they can be converted to audio files on a computer and you can just copy them to the SD card. Most are 8 bit though, so you’d have to convert their bit rate to something the S2400 can handle. Or you can just find samples of them—they’re just samples, the magic is in the machines that play them back.
The case for physical EEPROMS is very narrow considering how limited they are and how few people have any (or would want to deal with the process of burning their own)
