'lil Sequencer demo

Here’s a quick and dirty little clip showing the step sequencer in action.

Each of Caladan’s 8 parts can have its own sequencer.
Each sequencer can have 16-64 steps (1 to 4 pages of encoders)
Each step can control pitch, velocity, filter cutoff.
Each step is 4 note polyphonix

You can either ‘dial in’ notes manually, ala Korg SQ-10
Or you can play them in with your keyboard.

Dead simple to use
Good fun.

:fire::fire::fire:This is all very exciting! I can’t wait till we get to see a video of how the Caladan and S2400 work together.

what would you like to see?

I’m assuming we’ll be able to use the S2400 midi tracks to trigger the Caladan using the S2400 sequencer and I’m curious how that would look. Would you use a different midi channel for different parts or synth cards. Or will it make more sense to use one device as a master clock and sequence each machine separately. Me personally, I’m planning on using the two in tandem so I’m just really curious to see how the two machines interact with each other.

Gotcha.
Well, firstly, before I do that demo, there are some outstanding bugs and missing features in the S2400 sequencer that I need to sort out.

The Caladan is 8 part multi-timbral. So yes, essentially you can just use 1 page of sequencer tracks on the S2400 to control it! Considering the S2400 is also doing audio, it will likely serve as the more important of the two for MIDI clock generation but I need to do testing in both directions anyway.

But yeah, it’s of course my intention that the S2400 and Caladan be paired up as the dynamic duo.. that’s why they look so related!

Sick. I don’t mean to jump too far ahead but these videos already have the gears turning in my brain and I’m excited to see how the Caladan is going to fit into my current workflow.

Optional: Select chord type ,octave, transpose from menu. Ability to copy paste chord w octave and transpose and paste into other steps.
