Ok So i haven’t yet received my DSP Card but thought Id install this new firmware in the time being

However Im getting performance issues from the jump

Browsing menus and directories is laggy in the UI along with sample playback. Seems to keep momentarily freezing and trying to catch up with whatever task Im performing on the unit.

I turned off and on a few times and with different projects and had the same result

Rolled back to october firmware to double check and everything seems fine and snappy

@Mickey @bradholland Just thought id flag my initial findings here

Im aware you both must be swamped today of all days!

It seems like audio playback is also laggy. The “clock” seems to be rubberbanding (slowing down and speeding up) randomly. No midi plugged in at all. No USB plugged in. Inputted notes with TR mode just to make sure it wasn’t a quantize thing and its definitely not.

I just realized that @Mickey posted not to install the February 2025 firmware without the DSP card. What happens to our S2400s if the firmware’s been installed without the DSP card?

I just rolled back to the october firmware. No issues

Will we get the bug fixes in a non DSP update or is everything going to be DSP exclusive? Not that I didn’t place an order for the DSP card :wink:
