Hearing dynamic filters leak on mainout with channel fader down?

I have dynamic filters engaged on 1& 2 but am not using them , just going through the main out.

I have a kick on A1 going to output 1 but again am only going out the main out.
However when in mixer mode and I have the fader down for the kick, I can hear the dynamic filter opening and closing , like a blip noise. I know it’s the dynamic filter because If I turn them off the noise goes.
If I mute it’s fine , but just with the fader down the sound of the filter opening and closing leaks to the main out.

Not sure why I’m hearing the dynamic filter at all , I didn’t think you could hear them through the main out , only individual 1 & 2 ?

Is this a fault ?

the main out is a mix of the 8 channels outs, using the PAN settings

Ah ok ,sorry it went away for servicing and I’m relearning, haven’t had it long.

If the filter noise normal ? , I mean it plays over the top of the kick, you can still hear it clicking even if the mixer fader is at 50%

Just want to know whether that’s normal for everybody else ?

Oh I found a thread about trim pots for them , I’ll have a look and see if I can find them. The filters are noisy , but I will just gate the output, it’s the clicking that is the issue

the filters are there, regardless of whether you send a signal to them or not. so the more you lower the output signal, the more you will hear the filter click.

So this is normal for you as well ?
Is it worth adjusting the trim pots so they’re not so snappy ?

I would need to check, and I never fiddled with the trim pots

Seems like it’s normal behaviour as I can repeat with the same configuration. I’ve never noticed it in general use, but the the envelope on the Filter cutoff does click.

Thanks , appreciate you checking it out.
It’s not a major thing but just gotten back from repair and hadn’t noticed it before. Just wanted to know whether I should get it seen to or not.
Cheers

filters leave here fully opened on trimmers. you might prefer to wind them back a bit?

Cheers Brad, I’ll have a play when I next have time.
