I’ve made industrial music off and on since the late 1980’s. A key component of that sound was the 10khz sampling rate of the Emax, and then pitching that down an octave or so for a REALLY grungy effect filled with clock noise. 26khz might be the classic SP-1200 mode, but for some of us it would be great to go even lower. Is there any possibility of adding this, or is the sampling rate dependent on the hardware?

I second this, variable sample rate like an Emax would be a very cool feature. Also an SP-12 style 27.5kHz might be interesting!

I need to find the article but there is a recent -ish interview of Dave Rossum not recalling a sample rate change between the 12 and 1200 despite it being widely reported and accepted as fact. I think in the same interview he added some sort of caveat of possibly just not remembering though…
