Display backlight out?

Received my unit about a week ago. Been loving it, despite some random crashes. Today, I was loading some samples, and it crashed again - but when it booted back up, my display was extremely dim. :worried:

I’ve tried power cycling after leaving it off for a while, booting with no SD card, and reinstalling the firmware, but the issue persists.

I wrote support, but curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

This is the only other time I’ve heard of something like that I think, but i don’t know how or if it was ever resolved. Hope they get it sorted for you soon!

Well, looks like my brand new SP has to go back for service after less than a week. :frowning:

Isla was kind enough to provide a paid UPS label to ship it back though. Hopefully I’ll get it back quickly.

i was hoping it was a dimmer on the screen settings but cant find any.

Yep, they replaced the whole drum machine really quickly.

I always work in dark environment so im able to still use it.

Im from EU so i supposed the change unit its not ant option for me ( shipment, taxes…).

There is a UK based service technician. I’m sure Isla can work something out with you if you raise a support ticket on the website.

I had to replace my display. I opened a support ticket and they shipped me a replacement screen and detailed instructions.

Replacing the screen on your own is surprisingly easy!
