Copying and pasting patterns across multiple bars

Can’t seem to work out how to Copy and paste a single bar pattern in step mode, across the whole pattern length. I Can’t seem to find any info on how to do this: I program a 4/4 kick on the first bar. Instead of having to program the same pattern across the entire pattern length, how can I copy the first bar and past it across the length of the pattern without manually programming it? I’m sure its a simple one but I Can’t see anything in the manual or on vids :frowning:

Thanks

Not in step mode, but Pattern length >>> duplicate pattern

@Pesh909 You could use the copy and paste functionality.
In Step Program mode:

  1. Select the events to be copied (hold Shift while turning encoder or pressing arrows)
  2. Press the Copy button
  3. Move the cursor to the desired destination (optional)
  4. Press F7 (Paste)
  5. There will be lots of options, including number of copies.

If you paste multiple times, will it make the pattern longer automatically or it will work with the set pattern length?

Whatever you want. One of the options is “Paste and Add Time”

This video has some useful information, it might be a little old but it will help with 2400 Copy/Paste functionality “theory”.

My suggestion is to create a project to just learn the copy/paste functions and behavior.
