Still agree here, as well as either just hitting the pad to erase, or back+pad to erase notes in step edit.
This is a big one I miss from my mpc60ā¦ I can just hit Rec+PlayStart to do retakes, one handed and super quick.
A one-handed Undo for the 2400 would be super nice.
Agreed. Itās a big deal. I didnāt realize how significant it was until I experienced it first hand. Casting those spells with two hands above the unit is not fun
i just dont use the feature at all tbh. i find the shortcut awkward

Yeahā¦ itās a workoutā¦ esp when midi-recording some keyboard playing and doing a lot of re-takes.
In an ideal world, Iād be able to remap the buttons. I would LOVE to swap SHIFT & BANK, COPY/SYNC & TAP/REPEAT, PAN/ERASE & TEMPO. Man that would improve ergonomics for me. Would also negate the need for additional shortcut for me. I wonder how possible this isā¦ Iāve hinted at it before but never directly asked haha
I mean, if you want things to be done the Linux way why donāt you just use Linux?
I think the idea was discussed a few months ago In my opinion, it would be a good idea to implement a function like this that allows to customize all the buttons only when the firmware is 1000% finished. Honestly, I think the firmware will still be in development and rather buggy for quite a long time.
Yeah would be great to have the option. When I first got the machine, it was still a LONG way off, but I donāt think itās a million miles off at this point tbh.
I donāt speak Linux, sorry
Bump +1,000
man, this post has gained a lot of tractionā this is a super simple feature. hopefully it can get implemented
If people at Isla instruments use their own machine, I canāt see how they would be against a one-hand shortcut for UNDO.
Thatās the problem I donāt think anyone at Isla has ever even been in the same room as the S2400 out would even know what one looks like.
Bold statements, my guy
I think they all know and understand whatās going on and how it performs.
The s2400 is innovative and is a very nice piece of equipment. That out of the way, I keep going back to using ableton and koala sampler. Part of what makes ableton / computer / phone / tablet they offer ease/simplicity in navigation, and for the daw and computer: keyboard shortcuts.
The s2400 was developed with simplicity in mind: no menu divingābut If we could have āone-handedā shortcuts for essential functions, that would take the s2400 to the next level.
+1ing this again in case there is room for enhancement in the next firmware
Still hoping!
