People’s printing has been wearing off prematurely on the black units. I’m curious if Isla Instruments addressed this with a different manufacturing process/material on either the white panels or the black?
i have the black version from the early batches and never had any problems. using it a lot.

I don’t think there was much to address. It hasn’t really become a widespread issue. It seems like a handful of units must have missed a curing step or finishing step in the painting process. There are plenty of folks that have had the machine for years now without any issues like that. Mistakes happen, I think that’s all it was with those units.
I’ve had mine for years and use it almost everyday.
Everything is perfect. Top quality.
I hope it doesn’t peel.
