When in multi mode, copying a pad to another doesn’t work. For an example,you will see it say “copying pad C1/1 to pad 5” , but nothing is copied over.
The properties are copied. I.e. if you are in slice multi mode, then the start/end/looping is copied from one slice to another.

Ok, so If I just want to copy a pad entirely to another pad, is that done a different way ?
When not in multi-mode, you can use the Copy+Pad,Pad method.
In any mode, you can use the Organize Tracks screen, which you can get to from Track Settings (Shift+Pad) or from the Settings menu. You can also double-click the Settings key to get to Organize Tracks.

I might be missing something, but double tapping settings for me turns playback metronome on/off (latest update)
Then you did not press Shift.
