Pitch transposition in Fine mode doesn’t function properly on recorded patterns

How to reproduce:

  1. Create a new project
  2. Assign a tonal sound to Pad 1
  3. Set pitch resolution to Classic16, you may also set Gate to Off
  4. Now record some events (every 8th or 16th, so there’s a droning sound) and let the pattern play
  5. Go back to the track settings menu and change pitch resolution to Fine
  6. Now slowly change the transposition by rotating the encoder
  7. The pitch snaps to rounded values, i.e 0.00, ±1.00, ±2.00 etc.

You would have to have recorded it with a non-classic pitch.

I know, I figured that out. But it seemed illogical
to me that current track settings do not always apply to recorded tracks/events.

Yes, I’m from the AKAI school and I too need to rethink/change old patterns in my brain. But this is a good example of where you recognize the SP parenthood/philosophy.
