Piano Roll View for Individual Tracks

Hello,

I’d love to suggest a piano roll view for individual tracks in the S2400. Currently, when viewing a sequence, each track is displayed on its own horizontal line, one below the other. However, if a track contains notes with different pitches, they all appear on the same line, since each track is limited to a single row.

It would be amazing to have the ability to select a track and enter a dedicated piano roll view, where notes are displayed from low to high, just like in modern DAWs. This would make editing and fine-tuning melodic sequences much more intuitive.

Would this be something that could be considered for a future update? I believe it would greatly enhance the workflow for those using the S2400 for melodic sequencing.

Thanks for your time and for continuously improving this amazing machine!

Best,

Gaspar Pini

This would be a great feature. I was thinking this the other day - the sequencer view is hard to follow for individual track lanes. Particularly where recording polyphonic midi.

There is a workaround btw - if you go into TR Step mode, then shift+step to see the individual step edit. Press F2 to see the list view and then you can edit the individual notes. I.e if you have recorded a 3 note chord - you can adjust the pitches. Whilst list mode is good for most things, I wish there was an easy ability to remove an unwanted note in a chord (maybe there is already). A piano roll style view that you can edit via the cursor would be ace.

Yes! I agree with you! I use TR mode the way you mention all the time, for me it’s good for editing! But it’s not good as a piano roll
