Pad Blinking During Mute

Hello S2400 Forum Members,

I recently purchased an S2400 and I am very satisfied with its amazing sound and operability!

I have a quick question.

I am currently creating sequences and enjoying using it, but I noticed that when I press the mute button, the blinking of the sequenced pads turns off.

I think it would be more efficient for production if I could visually understand which pads have sequences assigned to them even when muted.

Therefore, I would like to ask if there is a setting to keep the pads blinking even when muted.

By the way, I have already checked that the pad brightness can be adjusted in the “Blinkenpads” settings. I couldn’t find any setting related to blinking during mute, so I am asking here.

If anyone knows, I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thank you in advance.

I think a few updates ago the blinking remained when it was muted, but I honestly can’t remember 100%… I agree that it may make things a bit easier to navigate, but I do like that mute also mutes the LED.

If Brad wasn’t so busy I bet that’s an easy patch to fix, if it’s true that you can change it already. I say poke around settings and find out. Poke around and find out

Hi kidsleepy,

Thanks for the reply! I get what you mean about muting the LEDs being useful sometimes. Yeah, I can see that point.

But honestly, for me, being able to see which pads have sequences even when muted is way more important for my workflow. Especially when things get complicated, I need to see what’s going on at a glance, muted or not. Turning off the blinking LEDs with the mute kinda throws me off.

Maybe it was blinking before and they changed it? If so, I wish they’d bring it back, or at least make it an option in the settings. Like, a “Mute LED Blink” on/off switch or something. That would be the best of both worlds, right?

Hopefully, the devs are listening and can consider adding this. It would really help out a lot of us, I think.

Anyway, thanks for chiming in! Anyone else feel the same way about this?
