I was sending clock info from my Subharminicon to the S2400. It synced fine when I changed the settings. Now every single file starts off slow and then goes off into BPM oblivion with a warning message afterward: audio board sync lost TX 87, RX 57. Tried to include a video but it’s too large.
I’ve tried changing the settings back to normal clock internal, it hasn’t worked.
Edit: I can start and stop with shift+run just fine when NOT set to internal clock.
Edit 2: added a screenshot.
Edit 3: I do have backups of everything, several iterations of each firmware update, including the most recent. I’m trying to avoid formatting the card for now. I also am curious, because the S2400 is operational without the SD card, is there a way to return that to “default” settings? Really looking for any response or help or personal anecdotes anyone has to offer. I’m going away for a week and half and the last thing I want on my mind is a 99% functional sampler that happens to be the center of my entire set-up.
I guess for further info, I’m running a sandisk extreme pro sdxc 512gb SD card. Loading times sometimes are a bit long. I’m gonna try a smaller one after solving this.
Edit 4: I loaded it up without any SD card and made a quick beat with the onboard sounds and clock set to internal and I have not run into the same problem. I’m going to wipe a separate SD card now and load a backup from prior to when the error occurred (the backup should also be the current firmware, but I’ll try old firmware just in case as well).
Edit 5: problem disappeared with latest firmware backup that I happed to have. Going to load the files from the backup made AFTER the problem began. If problem isn’t replicated, going to try to purposefully replicate it again. I have switched to a 16 GB card for the time being.
Edit 6: I can see this topic really took off. After loading the rest of the recent files the problem has not returned. However, the one single that I recorded using the clock from the moog Subharmonicon that originally caused the problem is gone. Even though I saved after creating the track during the worrisome mayhem. Going to try to use the same clock again and see what happens.
Edit 7: The Moog Subharmonicon does something to the internal clock after sending CV from the clock out on the modular to the clock in on the S2400. Data is sent fine during this. After pausing and switching the sync to “internal” rather than “clock in”, every song on the sd card now starts slow again and then speeds up into oblivion again and show the error message I screenshot above. Using any other clock source and shift+run has everything going just fine. going to test the Moog SubHa with a Deluge and see if I can make that a problem as well. sorry for he rambling and useless updates but Im sure it’ll come in handy for somebody in the future.
