Title explains it - would be really helpful to search files on the S2400. The only “menu diving” I encounter is going through folders and subfolders looking for samples, especially as SDs continue filling up - would be awesome to search for a specific sample by name, or really I think best use case by style (snare, clap, kick, etc), or bpm- have it pull all files from various folders and populate a list right on the machine. Would be super useful and save time a lot of time digging for samples.
I’m sure everyone organizes differently and some not at all, so a basic search function could apply across the board. Getting ahead of myself haha, a Boolean search function (eg. “snare” OR “clap” OR “rim” & !“crap”) - while likely overkill would be pretty sweet!
