Audio Board Sync Lost when changing setting on DSP channels

Anyone else get the Audio Board Sync Lost error when switching a DSP channel to Stereo? It just started to happen to mine out of the blue, was never a problem before and I didn’t change much in my setup/had the same type of cables plugged in to the 1 and 2 input for a long time. Just curious if anyone’s seen it/ knows a resolution?

Try opening it up and re-seating the power ribbon so it isn’t “encroaching” any other electronic territory.

Hey Thanks, I’ll give that a shot! I def might’ve knocked something around when I installed the card.

This happens to me all the time and I’m not sure why. It’s gotten to the point where I get extremely nervous using DSP and neurotically save my project every few minutes.

My DSP card came to me installed, however. And I have never opened the machine. So I’d be curious to hear if there might be an issue with that installation.

So I haven’t opened it back up yet to take a look but in the meantime I started using a different channel to process my incoming signal (I was mainly using my In’s to send incoming audio through some effects on channel 3/4) I switched to using 7/8 and it hasn’t been happening (yet) not sure why this would make a difference though.

If you do decide to open it to check the ribbon cable, maybe check this thread out:

I guess that is what kidsleepy might be referring to.

I moved my cable out the way of power cables and seemed to help. Haven’t tested too much after but so far so good so thx all for suggestion. My issue is the ribbon cable is quite short compared to the pics in the other thread so it can’t be tucked out of the way. I could move the power cables away though…
