S2400 Production techniques review

Has anyone bought this video course for the S2400?

The previews look good but I’m afraid I can’t justify £200 for the course.

Are there any other workflow tutorial available? (other than the v2 video series)
Chopping up a break and intro to the round robin mode would be ideal

PS.

I’m all for supporting independent creators and I appreciate a lot of work goes into these tutorials but I normally see these kind of courses going for £40-£50.

If I spend £200 the wife will want to buy herself something for £200 and quid pro quo I’m down £400 on a course.

Thanks for that … $30 off … well spotted
I’ll mull over it, that being said I think its still a little too pricey

Also curious if anyone has any thoughts on this course. Just picked up an s2400 up and feel like I could do with something like this after watching the manual vids (which are great).

A couple categories in the course are listed as “TBC” curious if there’s any intent/timeline for finishing these

I’ll preface by giving a background of my level of expertise for context before I get into why I don’t think it’s worth it.

I’m one of the people that picked up making music and DJing as a hobby during Covid. All my music theory and production knowledge (I use that term lightly) comes from studying scale charts and watching YouTube videos. I know it will always be a hobby for me but that’s fine because I have fun with it and expose my kids to different ways of making music. Basically I’m not a professional, self proclaimed production wizard, S2400 guru or anywhere close to it.

All that being said, these types of courses will teach you to make music like that person. Instead of figuring out what works for you through trial and error, you will be spending hours emulating how this person works. I’m sure they are great at making music, but for me that wouldn’t be a particularly gratifying experience. In regards to it being S2400 specific, The machine itself is so streamlined, focused and almost utilitarian (in a good way) that I can’t imagine there is anything in there that hasn’t been covered in the amazing Alex Ball videos (hopefully he does a DSP one too!) or on this forum. If you have 200 to burn, you could use that money to buy a Behringer model d.

You’d be better served imo using the plethora of free YouTube content. It doesn’t need to be S2400 specific since most of theories and techniques can be applied to it. Just my two cents.
