On my unit turning up send A slightly increases the volume of the bus (independent of any fader movement) - even if there is no plugin inserted on return A. This is true for send A on all of my busses.
The same is not true for any of the send B busses- no similar increase in volume.
More testing. Refer back to the first post in this entry: turning up send has an effect on the volume of the bus (independent of fader movement).
I’ve narrowed it down to Send A having an odd influence upon Send B when Send A is in Post Fader mode but not in Pre Insert or Post Insert modes.
Send A- similar volume increase in all Post Fader, Pre Insert, and Post Insert modes. Amount of Send B and mode that Send B is set to has no affect on Send A.
Send B- no volume increase in Post Fader mode but an increase in volume in Pre Insert and Post Insert modes. Now here is where it gets odd: If I set Send A to either Pre Insert or Post Insert mode I do hear an increase in volume when increasing Send Bin Post Fader mode (as well as the Pre/Post insert modes as mentioned earlier).
If anyone is willing to test this out but confused what I am explaining please allow me to elaborate.
Changed the topic to address the broader irregularities between Send A and Send B Post Fader, Pre Insert, and Post Insert Modes. Definitely something going on here that I don’t suspect is hardware related (?)
In this scenario I have Send B turned all the way down and set to Post Fader. Lower the bus fader all the way down and there is no sound (as expected). If I set to Pre/Post Insert and lower the bus fader all the way down there is a faint amount of sound seeping through.
This same scenario doesn’t affect Send A- no sound seeps through when I lower the bus fader in either Post Fader, or Pre/Post Insert.
