Situation is:
I create a new project or open and existing one, then use some plugins on the tracks, returns and master bus.
If I then create another new project or open another existing one, the plugins from the former one are retained in the new one.
It happens whether or not I save the first project. Using the function “Clear everything” before closing it is not making a difference. I have to restart the machine to have a clean DSP mixer
I imagine it is supposed to save the DSP settings only within the individual projects when saving them. Then begin from scratch with no plugins when creating a new project, or use the specific settings saved for existing ones when opening them.
I can confirm that this occurs when opening a new project or an existing project that has never had any DSP settings saved.
However, from my experience, projects previously saved with DSP settings do not seem to be affected by DSP settings carrying over from the previously loaded project.
My workaround is to save a default DSP configuration file and load it whenever starting a new project or opening one without previously saved DSP settings. Once you load this default DSP config file and save the project you should be good going forward.
Yes, that is how it works. That is, it does not clear the DSP settings when selecting Clear Everything, and it does not clear them when loading a project that has no DSP settings of its own.
However, a reboot is not necessary to clear the DSP settings. Just select Clear Config from the Effects menu.
