It would be great to have a shortcut for returning to a default value when editing a field. Maybe long pressing the encoder and/or Enter button could be used for this?

I quess you know about back+pad to reset the whole track? But some times you just want to reset a specific parameter…
Maybe something like hold back button and wiggle fader/knob or something?
I think long press is the simplest and the most logical solution. I went through the manual and found that long presses are already used for the actions which one could describe as “back to default”. These include resetting HiFi envelopes, clearing text fields, zooming all the way out in the waveform editor, undoing all reverses in slices.

Yes probably the best solution for when you’re editing things with the encoder on screen.
My suggestion was more if you’re adjusting faders, like a quick way to reset the pitch of a track. Or setting all pitches in multi mode to 0 before you start tweaking and stuff like that.
