OS freezing/static sound when chopping/saving samples [FURTHER INFO FROM USER REQUIRED]

I’ve had my S2400 since April 2021 and this month is the first time I had ANY issues with it. So I guess is related to updates?

I was chopping a rather long synth type sample (maybe 20+ seconds) then when I went to save the chopped version the system froze. The sample came from a folder inside the sd card.

Sometimes after chopping it adds a loud static sound at the end of the sample.

This has been reported by a few people, but we’re still trying to reproduce the problem. If you figure out a way to make it happen reliably, please let us know.
